Virtual Care for Chronic Pain

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Considerations in mobilizing to virtual care for children living with pain​
  • Considerations for conducting a virtual pain focused physical exam​
  • Consideration for providing virtual mental health care

Dr. Danielle Ruskin, PhD, CPsych, at the Hospital for Sick Children

Dr. Danielle Ruskin is the Clinical and Health Psychologist in the Chronic Pain Clinic at The Hospital for Sick Children. Ruskin completed her bachelor of arts in Psychology from McGill University, her masters in School and Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto, and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Ruskin has also completed various internships and fellowships at SickKids including a Pre-Doctoral Internship in Paediatric Clinical Psychology and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Chronic Pain and Paediatric Neuropsychology. Ruskin is an adjunct member of the Department of Psychology at York University.
