Sibling Support: From hospital to home and back

Bridget Veltri is the Certified Child Life Specialist at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center in Hamilton, Ontario. Bridget works on the Psychosocial Oncology team with adult patients, their families, and staff to provide support to individuals with children under 18 years old who are impacted by a parent or loved one’s cancer diagnosis. Bridget is a graduate of the MSc Child Life & Paediatric Psychosocial Care program at McMaster University and completed clinical internships in Sydney, Nova Scotia and Edmonton, Alberta.

Kate Sutherland is a Certified Child Life Specialist at McMaster Children’s Hospital; she works on the Quality of Life and Advanced Care Team and in the Ophthalmology clinic. Kate received her Child Life training from McMaster University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Grief, Loss and Bereavement from Western University. Kate is passionate about childhood grief and sibling support.
