Dr. Nirit Bernhard is a general paediatrician and Assistant Professor with the Department of Paediatrics in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She channels her passion for working with children with different health needs and abilities through her work in the Down syndrome clinic, part of the Ability Program at SickKids and has been a consultant paediatrician at Women’s College Hospital since 2011.

Dana Frisch is a Developmental Paediatrician in Toronto working with the ABILITY program in the Down Syndrome clinic and the Ability clinic, at Sick Kids/Surrey Place. She also works at Kindercare Pediatrics. Dana works to support children (and their families) to understand their developmental needs and their strengths, and to try to help them connect with supports.

Julie earned a BScN from the University of Toronto in 2004 and began her career at SickKids on Unit 7C the same year. She transitioned to the Paediatric Consultation Clinic in 2008 and has been part of the Down Syndrome Clinic team from 2016–2017 and again from 2019 to the present. Her professional focus lies in growth, development, and nutrition.
