Dr. Michael Casas, DDS, M.Sc., FRCDC, The Hospital for Sick Children
Michael Casas completed his undergraduate dental training at Western University. After a dental residency at The Hospital for Sick Children, he undertook specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto where he also completed a Master of Science in neurophysiology. He returned to SickKids as a staff dentist in 1991 and was appointed Director of Dental Clinics in 2007 and Dentist-in-Chief in 2018. He is Associate Professor, Faculty of Dentistry and Full member of the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Toronto. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association and sits on the editorial board of Pediatric Dentistry and the European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry. His current research activity focuses on simulation tools for measuring clinician competence and pediatric dental restorative techniques
