Pre-operative Optimization for Medically Complex Children requiring Orthopaedic Surgery

Natasha is a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner who supports the spine program at SickKids working closely with the in-patient floor for the pre and post-op care of patients with spinal deformities.

Priya Sayal completed her ungraduated studies in Health Sciences at McMaster University and her medical school at the University of Toronto. She then completed her residency in Paediatrics at University of Toronto and SickKids, and was one of the Chief Paediatric Residents. Priya is currently completing a fellowship in Academic General Paediatrics and Complex Care at SickKids. Her clinical focus is Complex Care and she is completing a Master's degree at the University of Toronto in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. Her academic interests specifically include improving pre-operative care for medically complex children.
